How can I book a tour to India? Is there a list of tours I can choose from?

What If I do not like any of the tours listed on the site? Can Siddharth Travels make a Tailor made tour for me?

If  the tour packages mentioned by us do not appeal to you,then we suggest you to send us a mail mentioning your requirements like the date of travel, which kind of category of hotels you are looking for to suit your budget, how many members are travelling along with you etc. As soon as we get a response from your end, we will design a custom made tour specially for you and get back to you immediately.

Or why can`t I do these trips on my own and (presumably) save money?

Ans.

One certainly requires alot of time, patience, money and should be willing to forgo some safety measures.
Time Factor: The traveller needs a permit to cross a border. He/She needs to find a suitable transport or travel by train or air
Patience: One needs a lot of patience as it can take hours and days of waiting in line, dealing with bureaucrats and triplicate forms, getting a taxi to the third office in a row that will send you to the fourth.

How do we settle the payment? Is there an advance deposit required?

Ans.

Our nominal deposit  is of US$100 or a 20% of the total tour cost (whichever is more) to be sent to us as soon as the itinerary and the price has been finalised. We require this as an authorisation for us to go ahead with the reservations. For this we need ample of time to shell out money to block rooms in small hotels which do not entertain travel agents, to buy train tickets, to pay advance to certain rural hotel or beach resorts during the peak time etc. The balance however can be settled one month prior to your arrival in India. The money can be paid by credit card, through a wire transfer to our Bank Account. For more details contact us.

The informations given by you to Siddharth will be kept confidential and not let out to any third party under any circumstances. The credit card details which you provide are safe since. Moreover your profile (name, Email ID, address, Telephone number) will be used only to communicate with you in regards to the services you are buying or availing. The details provided by you will be safe and secure and at no time will this profile be misused.

What are the cancellation policies?

Ans.

There are few hotels who normally ask for non refundable deposit at the time of booking for example - hotels in Goa during peak period, Bangaram Island Resort in Lakshadweep, hotels in Buddhist sector and wildlife resort etc. Therefore you are requested to please check with us regarding the refund policy for the above mentioned hotels. No cancellation shall apply on Domestic airfares in case the tickets are booked by us.
